ASPRO works & BAPA

Network Rail Asset Protection (ASPRO) interface projects.

Do you have a project that is near the Network Rail Infrastructure?

We have a successful track record supporting Contractors and Projects that are working under a Basic Asset Protection Agreement (BAPA) with the Network Rail Asset Protection (ASPRO) teams. Recent projects are located in Ashford. Greenwich, Lowestoft, West Malling and Luton.

We can support your project by making the initial enquiry to ASPRO, to discuss your works and to agree the associated risks to their infrastructure. We can fully manage the interface between Network Rail and your Project and provide the required support to your Project team to manage any risk.

Kiernan Engineering Consultants Ltd can provide you with the support and guidance required to negotiate and manage the relationship with Network Rail Asset Protection (ASPRO). We have over 20yrs of experience across a wide variety of rail projects, and we understand the risks outside party projects may create for the operational railway and to Network Rail property.

We have over 20yrs of experience across a wide variety of rail projects, and we understand the risks outside party projects may create for the operational railway and to Network Rail property.

We can agree the list of deliverables required with Network Rail, and support your team during design and construction so that temporary or permanent works are properly considered and managed, therefore ensuring the operational railway is protected.

You may be required to enter into a Basic Asset Protection Agreement (BAPA) with Network Rail, and agree to undertake certain monitoring and risk mitigation, particularly for any temporary works. For example, piling works, mobile or tower cranes, erection of buildings, scaffolding, drainage, deep excavations, noisy or dusty works and any works where it could cause a nuisance to rail passengers or staff. We provide support to your project to manage these issues, and we work with a wide range of experts to ensure the safe delivery of your project.

We can provide a full support service to remove any concerns over the interface with Network Rail, to ensure your project team can focus on your project whilst we liaise with Network Rail and ensure any concerns Network Rail have within the BAPA are managed and addressed safely and correctly.
